A documentation and reflection on the Flamm x VASW Remote Working event by Anna Harris is now available on Visual Art South West (VASW) website.
Commissioned by VASW, the article reflected on the event that took place in Bodmin in July 2024 – part of VASW’s ‘How Can I Stay?‘ series, where 35 creative practitioners gathered to discuss the realities of working as artists in rural areas. Themes like rurality, public transport, and community connections emerged, as well as focuses on collaboration, geography, and creative practice in rural settings, highlighting the importance of connection, resource sharing, and overcoming the challenges of geographical isolation for artists.
