Alternatively, there are regular buses between Bodmin Parkway and the town, as well as the option to book taxis here or here.

By Bus

Bodmin is a stop on National Express buses to and from London. It’s easily accessed by bus from other parts of Cornwall.

By Car

Bodmin is located just off Cornwall’s main road – A30 and can be accessed from Carminow Cross Junction or Callywith Junction. It’s approximately 1hr from Plymouth, 2.5 hours from Bristol and 4.5 hours from London. There is a Facebook Group, The Pasty Connections, for sharing car travelling from and to outside of Cornwall – with regular lifts offered for Bristol and London.

You will find information on the Cornwall Council car parks including prices here. There are also car parks run by Bodmin Town Council.

By Plane

Cornwall Airport Newquay is the main airport in Cornwall with links to London and Manchester throughout the year, and is approximately 20miles from Bodmin. The airport offers very limited public transport options, so we recommend arranging a lift, a taxi or car hire in advance.

Getting Around

Flamm is taking place in many venues across the town of Bodmin. You can find a map of all Flamm exhibitions and events in this brochure. All Flamm events are free, but some are ticketed due to venue capacity or access, so be sure to book your place so you don’t miss out!

Bodmin is a small but hilly town. A leisurely walk between the two furthest venues should take no more than 45 minutes for a person of the average level of fitness. We endeavour to provide helpful guides and clear signage for everyone to navigate Flamm with ease.

Part of the festival happens outdoors. Please come prepared for all weather (weatherproof clothing, walking shoes/boots – this is Cornwall after all!) and take care as you navigate through the festival. Bodmin is a close-knit and friendly town, with many residents living in the town centre, so please respect the residents by arriving and leaving our venues quietly, especially at night time. Please take any litter with you or dispose in bins around the town.

Accessibility

All of our commissioned projects are hosted in accessible venues. Due to the variety of venues we use for the wider programme and hosted by other organisors, not all venues are wheelchair accessible. Please see each event listing for more information. You are welcome to bring guide dogs, hearing dogs and other recognised assistance dogs into all of our venues.

If you have any enquiries regarding accessing the festival, please do get in touch with us at flamm@creativekernow.org.uk or message us on our social media channels.

Filming & Photography

Most of our exhibitions and events will be documented by film and photography. By participating, you consent to your likeness being used in any video, photography or audio materials produced for Flamm.

Photography and filming are permitted at all events unless clearly signposted otherwise. You can share photos and videos on social media using #FlammCornwall @FlammCornwall.
