An interactive experience exploring identity, community and environment. Share your own stories and weave your ideas about how we can see Bodmin through a new lens and strengthen our connections and community.

Suitable for all generations – families with children welcome!

Bodmin Open Circle is a space for young adults aged 16-25 to come together to build community and have their voices heard in local decision making. It is run by Cornwall Charity RJ Working, and supported by IntoBodmin and Experience Bodmin.

This drop-in workshop will be led by young people, and rooted in restorative practice, which supports connection and communication. Participants will be invited to join circle conversations and explore questions and prompts together. There will be opportunities to take part in recordings for a podcast and to make upcycled art pieces which will go on to form a local art installation and poster campaign working with local artist Kaleigh Barclay.

Keep your senses open to hear how Bodmin Speaks, as we deepen Community Connections!

Practicalities: The site is wheelchair accessible.

About the Artist

Kaleigh Barclay is a multidisciplinary designer and creative based in Cornwall. Her background in Digital Media and Creative Direction for Fashion has shaped her approach to design, blending strategy, storytelling and visual emotion to create work that connects.

After studying at Falmouth University and the London College of Fashion (UAL), she launched Kefi to apply her experience across disciplines and industries. Since then, she has worked with clients in fashion, hospitality, community and publishing, producing branding, campaigns and digital experiences that balance concept and craft.

Kefi is inspired by the Greek word kefi, meaning a state of joy, passion and creative spirit. It is the energy Kaleigh brings to every project, whether she is developing a brand identity, directing a campaign or working in her local community.
