The Messengers is a series of five stoneware sculptures responding to the UK’s diminishing daylight levels. Developed from an earlier set of climate‑focused paintings, the works translate this environmental concern into flowing, organic forms that echo Bea’s observations of the natural world.

Each sculpture is finished with matte engobe colours, allowing painterly layers to sit cleanly on vertical surfaces during the 1260°C firing. Durable and vivid, the pieces are suitable for both indoor and outdoor display.

Together, the sculptures act as quiet signals — drawing attention to the shifting value of light, changing climates, and the fragile balance between environment and life form.

Practicalities: The exhibition is wheelchair access.
