Kath Buckler composes and records from her home studio in Falmouth.
Having worked as a professional session musician and performing artist for nearly 30 years, Kath started composing instrumental music in 2019. During her Develop Your Creative Practice (ACE) funded explorations in 2020 she created a digital work called the Museum of Music Memory, going on to receive a Sound & Music Seed Award to support the development of new work. The resulting FOUR (a suite for strings, bells and pianos) was first performed during a residency at Falmouth University this summer.
Kath’s current focus is on making installations that use music to convey the atmosphere of place, and explore the way that audiences experience musical works.
