We are excited to be collaborating with another Creative Kernow programme, FEAST, again to support projects rooted in Bodmin. In 2023, FEAST grants supported projects with Redruth-based initiatives Auction House, CMR Projects and Redruth Press.
About the Place-based Grant
The FEAST place-based grant is a new initiative following similar initiaitives including Redruth Unlimited and Tresorys Kernow. Each year, a place-based grant is awarded to a Cornish town (and its surrounding area) to develop and deliver cultural and creative activities – by and for their community.
The grant aims to support long term creative regeneration in the town through:
- growing cultural networks,
- building a sense of place,
- unlocking cultural spaces,
- enabling economic regeneration.
It’s all about bringing people together, to experience shared creativity and celebrate their community.
Flamm 2026 Pilot
FEAST is piloting the place-based grant in Bodmin in conjunction with Flamm 2026, enabling co-created and co-produced community activities and events to be an integral park of Flamm. It will help building the cultural network in Bodmin and provide new creative opportinities.
The total grant amount is £20,000 and FEAST will be holding engagement events with communities in Bodmin, and design how the £20,000 should be distributed collectively including sizes of individual grants, the application process and selection process, before opening for application in November 2025.
Taking place in the Autumn, these events are also excellent oportunities for artists, creatives, communities and businesses to meet and generate creative ideas together.
Applications for this grant must come from an individual or an organisation based in within the Secondary School Designated Area of Bodmin College. You can see the area on the map here. (filter the layer with icon at top right)
